By bus - We are on bus route 80 - look for the Thurso to John o Groats route on Traveline and look for the bus stop "Brough letter box". When alighting from the bus, walk about 200 yards towards Dunnet Head to "Windhaven", which is on the right just after the big green barn on the left.

 

 

If you are coming from the south, turn right at the first set of traffic lights in Thurso on to the John o Groats road which is the A836.
Follow the road to Dunnet, pass the hotel on the left, and turn left, onto the B855, towards Dunnet Head viewpoint. After about 50 yards you will cross a little bridge .. DO NOT GO STRAIGHT ON.
Follow the road to the right until you reach the village of Brough.
Turn left towards Dunnet Head, past the bus and information shelters.
About 300 yards further on you will see a large green barn on the left. Pass this and Windhaven cottage is about another 100yds further on, on the right hand side of the road..
If you are using an Ordnance Survey which shows a telephone box outside the property, please note that it has been removed. Also, If you use our postcode (KW14 8YE) to enter into a SatNav this will take you into the centre of the village, not directly to us.
